Very useful to me. The most important alert for my area is tornadic activity, which alerts me whether or not I am on my iPad. It serves as a great weather radio! The alert sound is loud, and living alone and not having a basement, it lets me know whether or not I need to take shelter. I am so happy that you added the world now instead of just the US. I can see exactly what the weather is like in Norway where my brother lives.
